![]() | About the Secret Shopper ReviewsThe whatjobsite Secret Shopper job site and job board reviews are intended to assess whether the job sites and job boards in question offer the audience, the products, the support and the advice to make a success of your online recruitment campaign. |
For each job site we review we create a relevant hypothetical job to advertise. Looking at the website and/or contacting the chosen site by telephone, we try to find out whether the site would be the best site for our hypothetical job. We look for the obvious key facts and figures like user statistics, prices and products and evaluate the site accordingly.
However, we are also looking for more than just mere statistics. Many of our users will be new to recruiting and/or new to recruiting online. We are, therefore, looking for job sites that can offer real tangible help and advice in online recruitment advertising —be that help and advice on their site or over the phone. Will the job site have any input or advice about the job, or the salary level, or the state of the recruitment market? Will the job site offer any recruitment advertising expertise to our users? (And, in case your wondering, the reviews are entirely separate to and independent of our advertising opportunities.)
Each job site review is conducted on one particular day and it cannot and should not be assumed that you will have the same experience as us. In addition, we do not post our hypothetical vacancies on the job sites in question so we do not and cannot assess the potential success or otherwise of any job site in filling a vacancy. We offer these reviews only as our limited assessments of job boards and we must encourage all recruiters to do their own research. Recruiting is the single most significant decision you will make for your business: it's worth taking the time and the effort to get it right. (Disclaimer.)
