After many years of thinking about it, I have at last taken the step of starting a professional blog. I have for a long time avoided blogging. I have always felt that there were plenty of other blogs out there that covered the area of online recruitment and job board advertising adequately. And, indeed, many still do.
But there have been developments at whatjobsite over the last period which have made me decide to launch a professional blog. First of all, as part of our online recruitment consulting we are learning more and more about how job boards are used and we’d like to share what we learn with other online recruiters.
Secondly, an increasingly important part of our activity is research into online recruitment and job board advertising. While we publish much of this research on whatjobsite as guides and articles, we wanted to provide a more interactive platform for people to comment and give us feedback on our work.
Primarily, therefore, our blog will be a place for us to discuss our research and online recruitment experiences. We hope you find our blog to be of interest and we look forward to a lively debate.
