After many months of work and consulting with our job board partners, rewriting the criteria, approving websites, we are happy to announce that today we officially launched the “Whatjobsite Approved Website Award.”
Our fundamental goal in launching the Whatjobsite Approved Website Award is to help employers find success with online recruitment and job board advertising. Nine times out of ten, success means choosing the right job board. But as we have said so many times before, while there are over a thousand job boards in the UK too few offer a quality advertising option for direct employers.
The large generalist site like Totaljobs, CV-Library, Monster, Reed etc have earned their spurs and are now well-established quality options for employers. In the specialist space, every market or sector now has one or two job boards that dominate their space. Whether generalist or specialist, these are the job board that we want to send employers to. These are the job boards that offer the best changes of success.
What’s more, we hope these criteria and the Whatjobsite Approved Website Award are just the starting point of a combined effort by online recruiters and job boards to protect direct recruiters from poor quality and service. If the job board market is to continue to grow it must offer a straight forward, compelling, and trustworthy product to the direct recruiter. The Whatjobsite Approved Website Award will become a valuable part of that.
