Is jobsavvi the answer to job seekers’ prayers?

JobsavviWe were recently put onto jobsavvi and after a look around I had to wonder whether this might be the answer to many job seekers’ prayers. You know the problem. 15 job boards, fifteen CVs or more, applications in your inbox, in your job board account and some on a piece of paper on the fridge door.

Jobsavvi.com aims to address that. One site, one account, all the jobboards and applications in one place. Your CVs in one place, alerts when your job applications and CV’s have been looked at. Full tracking of your applications and progress. It’s quite something . Here’s what they say:

“JobSavvi is your free all-in-one web based tool that helps you to organise and manage your job search more effectively and gives you the edge over other job seekers!”

The site is in beta at the moment and I for one, had not come across it before. It’s an impressive bit of technology. The site claims that they’ll be investing £10 million in candidate attraction. But it’s free for users and free for job boards. At some stage somebody is going to have to pay back some of that £10 million and I can’t see any radical revunue model expect getting money out of the job boards. Perhaps they might be going to charge the candidates too, like theladders.co.uk. Whatever the case, if I were a job board, I’d be a little nervous about this cracking idea.
