Managing social media recruitment with Jobvite

This week’s Economist magazine did a large feature on social media and, as part of that, looked at social media recruitment. According to the Economist social media offers companies a compelling recruitment option. We recently completed a short guide to social media recruitment entitled ‘An introduction to Social Media Recruitment‘  in which we looked at what is involved in the activity. It is a viable recruitment referral channel if not yet a viable recruitment advertising channel.

However, one of the concerns with social media referral recruitment is the labour and resource required to effectively manage a social media recruitment campaign. Think about all the sites you have to log on to, the jobs snippets you have to post, the friends you have to search for, the fans you have to alert. It’s a lot of work. Social Media Recruitment may well be a viable sourcing technique for a large company with dedicated recruiting resource but it is still a little beyond the SME or less-expert online recruiter.

But perhaps this is about to change. We recently took a look at jobvite.com. Jobvite is a resourcing CRM that is specifically designed for social media referral recruitment. Jobvite is an SaaS that allows recruiters to manage their social media referral recruitment from one place. Using the system recruiters can send job referrals to their contacts and friends on social networks like Linkedin, Facebook and Twitter. What’s more, those contacts and friends can send that same referral to others and the system tracks the full candidate trail. The system also makes recommendations on whom to send the job to.

Effectively, the system does all the logging in, posting, referring and emailing for you. It’s a case of ticking and clicking and jobvite.com does it all for you. With a tool like this, social media recruitment becomes a really effective channel for even small employers.  Take a look at jobvite.com by, clicking here.
