Picked this story up in the internet trade press. It’s an interesting one about one Alec Brownstein who ran a google ads campaign aimed at finding himself a new job. What’s unusual is what he did it.
He picked creative directors in his sector in New York whose names he knew, ran google ads sponsoring their names so that when the self-same creative directors did a search for their own names (it’s okay, it’s nothing to be ashamed of, we all do it), his sponsored message showed up asking for a job. And he got one too. And all for $6. He’s created a nifty little video of what he did.
