Totaljobs.com, the very popular generalist job board, has been awarded the Whatjobsite Approved Website Award 2012.
The Whatjobsite Approved Website Award 2012 is an initiative launched in 2009 by whatjobsite to help employers choose quality job boards on which to advertise their vacancies. Unlike other awards and initiatives, the whatjobsite schemes aims to evaluate and assess job boards as recruitment options for employers. With many thousands of job boards in the UK, employers face a real challenge in selecting the right ones for thier vacancies.
To be awarded the whatjobsite approved website status, a site must meet a number of stringent criteria. To be awarded the whatjobsite approved website award, for example, the recruitment website must be in compliance with UK website legislation as well as the EU ecommerce directives. Another condition verifies that the site has a good mix of recruitment agency job ads as well as jobs from direct employers —too many poor quality sites bulk up their poor offering by offering free advertising to recruitment agencies or affiliate networks in the hope of appearing like quality options for unsuspecting employers.
We also look to ensure that sites have clear pricing. Too many dubious sites have complex pricing arrangements so that you really can’t be sure what you are going to pay for your job ad. Sites must also have verified user statistics — either the stats are verified by us or sites can supply and ABCe audit. Check out the other criteria here.
It’ll come as no surprise that Totaljobs.com has been awarded the whatjobsite approved website award. A leading site and a veteran of the job board sector Totaljobs has been setting quality standards for a long time. This commitment to quality has ensured that it sits amongst the top tier of UK job boards.
Congratulations to the Totaljobs team.
