Hitwise announces Recruitment Website Awards for 2008

Hitwise UK recently announced the Online Performance Awards for 2008. The awards celebrate the most successful UK websites across more than 50 key selected industries. The awards are based on the market share of visits a website has received throughout 2008. Hitwise tracks the top 10 recruitment websites on a monthly and annual basis.

While the “market share” basis of the research makes for an uncertain comparison of JobCentrePlus and Jobs.NHS with the remaining sites, the ranking does give an indication of a general picture of the popularity of the commercial job boards against each other. In 2008, the leading websites were:
