s1jobs.com job board ABCe audited traffic reaches a new high

s1jobs, the whatjobsite.com approved job board for jobs in Scotland, has smashed its previous ABCe audit record. The latest audit of s1jobs has put the number of unique users of the site at 517,533 in January.

The rise in traffic for s1jobs has been remarkable. “To put the traffic figure in context,” Mark Smith, s1 Managing Director, commented, “half a million users is the equivalent of more than a fifth of the Scottish working population using the site in a single month.”

However, the audit statistics and the performance of s1jobs have wider significance for the online recruitment market in Scotland. “The impact of the economic slowdown is becoming clearer,” observes Mark Smith. “Vacancy numbers in January were down around 30% on the previous year, although we’re seeing no further decline at the moment. Whether we’ve reached the base remains to be seen, but we are very encouraged by the number of companies still recruiting via s1jobs, which in turn has attracted our biggest ever audience of job seekers.”

The traffic growth adds to the other good news for s1jobs which recently won for the six year in a row, the Best Regional Jobsite National Online Recruitment Awards.
