New research from CareersinAudit.com shows that tougher economic times along with fewer opportunities for career progression are causing UK accountants to seek work overseas. The research entitled ‘Should I Stay or Should I Go’ found:
- 30% of accountants want to leave their job immediately for a role abroad
- 40% are already looking for another job
- 85% would definitely seek an overseas role and would be prepared to learn a
foreign language to do so - Preferred locations include Western Europe (22%), the Middle East (16%)
and Australia & New Zealand (14%)
